Cellphones have become a very important part of our tech-savvy lives, whether it be teens or business tycoons it's the basic way to stay connected to our social circle, especially with the increasing use of social networking sites such as Facebook and My Space available directly on our cellphones it makes it even easier to stay in touch with people all around our the world.

So as the new year 2009 begins we should take a look at the top ten cellphones you should be caught with... (for all you gadget freaks!).

1. iPhone 3G

Yes, no surprise here the most talked about cellphone in 2008.It's half the price of it's pricey predecessor, for just $199 for the 8 gig beauty with sleeker looks and twice as fast as before the Apple Iphone 3G has captured the 2008 cellphone market.

The iPhone 3G has 3G speed with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth,2 MP camera, a 3.5-inch multi-touch screen, maps with GPS and rich HTML e-mailing.
This device is a MUST have for cellphone freaks!

2. Samsung i900 Omnia

2008 was all about the touch! we saw many touch screen cellphones but the most eye pleasing in my view was the Samsung i900 Omnia. With looks to kill and features to die for the phone is everything you could dream of.The only catch?... its hefty price tag.
The Windows Mobile 6.1-powered i900 Omnia features quad-band GSM / GPRS / EDGE support, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, a built-in accelerometer, WiFi module, USB port, FM tuner, Bluetooth, 3.2-inch 400 x 240 resolution display and a 5-megapixel camera (with smile detection and geotagging). An 8GB and 16GB version is available.

3. N95 8GB

This is the king for all Nokia lovers like me out there.Personally this is my all time favourite. With a 5mp camera and 8 gb built in memory this is the best seller of 2008. The only downside.. the bulkiness. However after a little getting use to it doesn't really seem to bother you anymore.
The sexy black makeover given to the original n95 is a big eye catcher and the add on features will have you hooked on and not wanting any other cellphone for a while!

4. Nokia 5800 Tube Express Music

Another touch phone but this time from Nokia! It's Nokia's first touch phone and its been talked about quite alot. It's not what you call a iphone clone, however it has a very simple and new user interface the S60 Touch UI 5th edition

The device has a large 3,2“, bright nHD (640 x 360 pixels and 16:9 aspect ratio) color display. The device has variety of input methods: stylus, plectrum and finger touch support for text input and UI control (alphanumeric keypad, full and mini qwerty keyboard, handwriting recognition). Use the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic to connect to mobile broadband using WLAN or HSDPA (3.5G). Find directions and locations with the integrated A-GPS and included maps. Additional features include a 3.2 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, and USB 2.0 High-Speed. Supported WCDMA frequencies depend on the region where the device is available.

Targeted at the younger music loving audience this phone does make a statement.

5. LG KC910 Renoir

Yet ANOTHER touch phone with the similar body as the previous mentioned above but this one is by LG.Including a whopping 8 megapixel camera and top-of-the-line video recording, the LG Renoir really makes a solid impression.
It's the slimmest 8 mp camera phone at just 14mm thick boasting wi-fi, GPS, bluetooth and a 3 inch touch screen.
This is one that surely catches your attention!
